David S. Pointer- A Poem

The Exploited Workers

Tossing grain, seed and grass
To the hungry world out of a
Bambi bucket, the woman
Finally sees the open sewer
Economics have been trickling
Down for too many centuries
Onto beloved convict labor,
Chattel slaves, wage slaves,
And now disposable temporary
Workers some waiting for their
Chance to splash in the raw
Sewage like open fire hydrant
Children from past summers
