Edgar Albright- Two Poems

Untitled

Pennsylvania
in the spring
in the rain

is just like Paris
in the rain

or Portland
in the rain

or anywhere else
in the rain

with its blooming romance
and thousand
philosophic deaths

Untitled

I'm keenly aware
that it's possible
i'll perish someday

and find myself
in some kind of hell
or void
or distant dream

where everybody's ass is chapped
and no one cares for
balloons

or alters their voice with helium

i'm keenly aware
it's possible
that i'll just go on
dying forever
