The Shadows
Immigrants take notice,
people living in the shadows,
live much better than the middle class,
legal residents with targets on their backs,
paying taxes,
and buying insurance,
they will never use,
schools make demands,
questioning your every move,
children raised,
indoctrinated to other's beliefs,
federal overseers on every corner,
making sure,
every interaction done correctly,
done just right,
drones, cameras, and paperwork tracking the middle class,
and their every move,
so please be careful,
our new friends,
in the shadows,
maybe,
the most inviting place to be.
